Nest Designs Celebrates Our 10th Anniversary

Nest Designs is turning 10! And we honestly couldn’t have done it without families like you.

From a small company that started out making 2 baby products - Swaddles and Bubs Baby Washcloths to now a company that’s made over 1500 products for babies, toddlers, big kids, and adults - it all seems like a dream. 

It’s been an exciting 10 years. To celebrate, let’s take a look down memory lane and some of our key moments and milestones. 

A Quick Glance Back: 2013 vs 2023

Key Moments & Milestones 

2013: Nest Designs is Born

The arrival of her first niece, Ayla, inspired our founder, Tammy, to create baby products that were timeless, gender-neutral, and with a modern aesthetic. We started with two products - Swaddle Blankies and our Bubs Baby Washcloths in prints like Raffe, Elle, Rocker, and Foxes.

2014: A Year of Firsts

Our small business travelled to New York for our first trade show. This year, we expanded our product line and introduced our Nest Noir prints that include Feathers, a classic print that is still popular today.

2015: More Products

Nest Designs launched our Burp ‘n Bibs and leather diaper bags in prints like our Lattice and Arrows.

2016: Signature Sleep Suits

We launched our first sleep suits (footed sleep bags), becoming the first pioneers in this market. Since their launch, we've innovated and created over 11 generations of footed sleep bags.

We also launched our first-generation sleep bags and ultra-cozy hooded towels. Our print highlights of the year include our Rhino and Leaves.

2017: Our First Office

Nest Designs moved to our first-ever office space. This year, we grew our product line and added PJ sets, rompers, and quilted blankets in prints like Zebra and Sleep Sheep.

2018: Ultra-soft, Luxurious Materials

We spent this year innovating and expanding our line, even more, to bring you new products in the same high-quality fabrics our customers have come to expect from us. We launched our swaddle sleep bags, waterproof change pads, and our bestselling dry baby wipes. This year, our classic print which remains a top print today, Stars, was released. 

2019: Eric Carle Collaboration & Basics Launch

This year, Nest Designs’ prints were inspired by Eric Carle and colourful characters from his beloved stories, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Mixed-Up Chameleon.

We also launched our first Nest Basics collection this year, with the goal of bringing you everyday baby basics that are better for both the environment and your baby's skin. 

At the end of the year, our popular toddler pillows were introduced and have since become a staple in our product lineup!

2020: Grow, Grow, Grow

In what felt like a blink of an eye, our team grew and moved into our third office in 3 years. Our Nest Designs family grew this year too with the welcome of our founder, Tammy’s first baby to the world. 

Our print highlights this year included Puffins, Orcas, Mighty Mouse and Meadow.

2021: The Wild Ride Continues

Our team doubled in size. Our collections this year celebrated the great outdoors with prints like Spring Harvest, Ox-Standing, Lazy Rabbits, and Mama Deerest. 

2022: More Memories

Our team packed up to move to an even bigger office & warehouse space to accommodate our growing Nest Family.

This year, we launched Petite Revery, a collection of playwear made for toddlers and children to encourage play, creativity, and imaginative exploration.

2023 & Beyond: What’s Next?

Wow! Like the saying, “The days are long but the years are short”, our company, like your little one, feels like it has grown and changed so quickly.

This year, we are excited to continue innovating our designs and introduce a brand new collaboration collection with Pantone®, coming in early 2023. We are also remaining committed to keeping our carbon footprint small and to creating the same high-quality products you've come to love.
